Evaluation of tablets   Notes on tablets II Tablets are evaluated for their physical, chemical and bioavailability properties. Stability testing is also an important evaluation parameter. Theset are divided into official and unofficial tests. Unofficial tests : 1. Appearance 2. Size and shape 3. Organoleptic properties (color, odor, taste) 4. Hardness 5. Friability Official tests : 1. Drug content 2. Weight variation 3. Disintegration 4. Dissolution Let's see important parameters in all the test (from GPAT point of view): Measurement of crown thickness : Instruments used are Micrometer and Caliper scale . Tablet thickness values variations: ±5% variation of a std value. GPAT PREPARATION TIPS   In order to prepare for GPAT examination, selection of right amount of study material and smart work with time management is important. Some GPAT aspirants start preparing for GPAT exam before 3-4 months of date of the exam. In this case short notes and study tricks come in handy. You need to prepare short trick notes to remember concepts and lengthy matter efficiently. Time management is crucial while preparing for exam. You need to find proper reference material, previous year question papers in order to prepare short notes and diagrammatic illustrations for study. Use of diagrammatic illustrations and mnemonics will be beneficial while studying pharmacology. Short charts and tree diagrams will also be helpful.
